ABOUT ME

Charlie Vazquez is a meditation coach who’s introduced hundreds of students to the power of creative presence for reducing stress, stimulating creativity, and cultivating wellness. He’s designed healing arts programs for the NYC Department of Health, Bronx Council on the Arts, Carter Burden Network, PEN America, and Acacia Network, which serve including recovering opioid users, the undocumented, and senior citizens, all of whom live with high levels of anxiety.

Charlie directed literary programs at Bronx Council on the Arts from 2013-2018 and is a teaching artist for PEN America’s DREAMing Out Loud writing program, which serves undocumented students. He’s the host of Creative Presence, a podcast where he interviews healing arts practitioners on wellness wisdom. He was certified through Tibet House’s 100-Hour Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training in 2020.

With over 30 years of practice and teaching experience, he was the keynote speaker for Acacia Network’s Julio Martinez Memorial Fundraiser in 2023 where he reported on the success of his creative mindfulness workshops for recovering opioid users. A former electronic musician, Charlie fuses meditation, artmaking, and soundscapes into his workshops, which encourage cleaner living through creative presence.
